Stella & Juliana at 7-months

When twin girls Stella and Juliana arrived last October, I was beyond excited for mom Kristy and dad Dave.  If anyone should procreate, it’s those two. Dave is honestly one of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet and Kristy is one of my favorite people of all time.  She’s hilarious and doesn’t take herself too seriously – one of those friends who can say “honestly what the h*ll are you wearing??” and for whatever reason it makes you love her more. Check out her inspiring birth story which was featured on Hoboken Mommies last month.

All I could think about leading up to the shoot is how adorable Stella and Juliana would be with pearls and no clothes on and they did not disappoint! Kristy showed up with these amazing frilly tutus that just made the whole look perfection.  Juliana would always flash her huge innocent eyes at me while Stella would give me the perfect smirk.  And at 7-months they both have these delicious baby rolls that you just want to squeeze non-stop. Can’t wait for Part 2 of the girls’ shoot at the shore next month!

Liv & Maya – Sibling Shoot

Now that Summer is nearly upon us, it has been so fun to take advantage of the nice weather and do more shoots outdoors.  For Olivia (5) and Maya’s (1) shoot, I couldn’t wait to head back to Morris Canal since not only is the Manhattan skyline gorgeous, but the kids have so much fun playing in the grass there, not to mention climbing trees.  Mom, Liz, is a great friend and incredible artist – painting, graphic design, writing, you name it – and it has definitely been passed down to Olivia. I know this because she’s in the same Pre-K class as my oldest, and she has all these paintings that look like Picasso’s.  And not in the same way I would say my kid’s paintings look like Picasso’s (because aren’t our own kids always complete geniuses??), but I mean she literally has this amazing grasp of color for her age.

In any case, it was the perfect morning to capture the girls playing in the park who were too cute in their matching dresses.  Looking forward to more fun outdoors this Summer!

Michael at 2-months old

Do you ever get that feeling, after you’ve had a rough day with your baby, and a mom with 3+ kids walks by and has it all together? You know what I mean, like you should just keep your mouth shut about how hard you’ve had it.  Well it was no different seeing mom Angela in action with 2-month old baby Michael.  She came by for baby portraits in between dropping off her oldest daughter at school and her second daughter at ballet class, all while orchestrating nap and feeding times for the baby.  She also runs the Resurrection playgroup in Jersey City, which starts up again in the Fall. (Okay, I’m sure I won’t shut up any time soon about my Luke being an early waker, but still, at least I’ve been adequately shamed.)

Michael is just the sweetest cute little baby and just laid contently while I took his pictures. The only thing he was adamant about was not wanting to be in any sort of basket. The baby knows what he wants! Instead we had fun with cozy blankets, wooden letter blocks and this sweet knit hat from Smith & Chang. So adorable!

With sister Maddie. So sweet!
