Poppy Turns 1 | Jersey City NJ Baby Photographer
This 1st birthday shoot for Poppy (short for Penelope…so sweet!) combined so many of my favorite things – adorable girly cuteness, a smash cake from Sophie Sophia and the view of the NY skyline from Morris Canal Park. And the skyline was extra special this time since Dad’s Manhattan office building peeking out at us. Most of all, I loved that there were just so many aww moments of Poppy simply being her sweet, happy and adorable self. Happy 1st Birthday Poppy!

Wow I can’t believe it’s been so long since my last post. I feel so lucky to be surrounded with so many beautiful babies and children to photograph!
I had to post this session of newborn Ted and his big brother Frank (2) because, well look at them… the camera is in love with them!! Frank was asleep in the stroller at the beginning of the session, so I got to have a little one-on-one time with Ted in all his perfection. The hair, the smile, the baby skin! I was already in heaven…and then Frank woke up completely camera-ready with his blonde locks and bright blue eyes. Most gorgeous brothers ever!

The greatest part of photographing Norah was working with mom Ling to create a very personal photo album of the session to commemorate Norah’s 1st birthday. In it, she included notes about Norah’s babyhood and a personal letter from mom & dad to read when she grows up. One of my favorite tidbits in the album… Norah’s middle name Yeates is after her mom’s mentor Elizabeth Jane Yeates who “was a small town girl that went to U Penn and MIT and went on to dedicate her life to helping young men and women reach their dreams….with grace, determination, thoughtfulness and kindness.”
What an amazing love letter for Norah to cherish all her life. Happy 1st birthday Norah!
