Inspiration always kicks in when I spend time with a client and gain a sense of the person behind the photograph. So when I recently met Ishmael for an executive branding session, it was important to spend time learning about his vision. His goal was to have eye-catching headshots to improve his company’s online presence.
To prep, we set up in our building’s ninth-floor common space and made the most of the floor-to-ceiling natural light. We also also had a mini-studio setup right there with a backdrop and studio lights which allowed us to capture Ishmael in a way that felt both polished and approachable.
Since I started my photography business in 2011, I’ve had the opportunity to work with executives and entrepreneurs across every kind of field. A reminder of how powerful portraits can be in opening yourself up to connections, no matter your profession.
