What started as a headshot session for 7-year-old Atreyu turned into an afternoon of play and creativity. Atreyu blew me away with all the looks and expressions she gave the camera with total control. And, it wasn’t long before she was moving furniture and framing creative shots. All of this while changing outfits, posing and jumping about. We even snuck in a Mommy + Me portrait moment that was the sweetest thing. So full of life – can’t wait to see what this stage-loving girl gets up to in whatever she does.

From Pregnancy to Baby Aavir | Jersey City NJ Maternity Newborn Photographer

Little did we know that just four days after this gorgeous day on the Hudson River boardwalk by the Colgate Clock, Mom and Dad would be welcoming baby Aavir into the world!

I’m so honored to have captured their before-and-after journey—from pregnancy to a family of three—all within the span of a few weeks. Made even sweeter with Grandma and Grandpa in town, it’s a beautiful reminder of how quickly life can change.

Aavir, what a gift you are this holiday season, and the perfect reason to celebrate new beginnings in 2026.
