Kaitlyn & Sofia at 6-months

My twin nieces Kaitlyn & Sofia turn 6 months today! To commemorate, we had a little photo shoot which included the girls in their ridiculously adorable Halloween costumes – Sofia as a polar bear and Kaitlyn and a koala. OMG. Between those, their berets, pea coats, and frilly pink dresses, we were all overloading on cuteness.

You should know, my brother has them on strict Tiger Dad training. So far tiger training has included tiger napping, tiger teething, and tiger college planning. I’m hoping the girls will be doing our tax returns by their 1st birthday.

I love this maternity shoot for my dear friends Lana and John in Portland, Oregon which was the perfect way to wrap up a great summer. They are expecting their first any day now and waiting to find out if it will be a boy or girl! Of course they already have two perfect babies – their dogs Café and Sandy. They are so lovable and happily posed with their mom and dad like it was the most natural thing. So cute. Congratulations Lana and John – that is going to be one lucky baby!

The Martin/Altman Cousins

When my friend Carrie asked me to take pics of her boys and their two boy cousins, all under the age of 6, I knew all kinds of fun would be in store. To get four little boys posed together for a family shot with their grandparents – no problem! 🙂 We met at Kelsey Creek Farm in Bellevue, Washington which is full of amazing spots to get pics, not to mention farm animals, grassy fields and playgrounds. The kids were so adorable…and such boys!

Carrie and her family are very involved with the JRDF Walk to Cure Diabetes which raised over $85 million last year towards Type 1 Diabetes research. If you are in Seattle, you’re sure to see them at the JRDF ‘Beat the Bridge’ event every year. The University Bridge is raised during the race and the goal is to beat the raising of the bridge. (Btw, if you don’t beat the bridge, there is a band and prizes for those who get “caught”. After a few minutes, the bridge goes back down, and everyone gets to finish. Whew!) Thanks for all you do Carrie – and for such a fun photo shoot with your family!

Viviénne & Landon

It’s my BFF Estelle’s birthday today! (For the record, yes you can still use the term ‘BFF’ well into adulthood if you’ve been doing it since you were a nerdy 6th grader — we’ve known each other that long!) We don’t get to see nearly enough of each other, but while I was in Seattle I finally got to meet her beautiful baby girl Viviénne (3 months) & see my little man Landon (6 years). Estelle is a makeup artist and model, so NATURALLY we had to have a full-on two-day photo shoot for the kids! Here are some of my favorites. Viviénne is so beautiful and I love how she has her mommy’s lips.
